Percolate is run by Percolation Labs Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales (company number 16700012) ("we", "us"). These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of Percolate. If you do not agree, do not use it.
We may change these Terms. We will update the date above and email account holders about material changes. Using Percolate after a change means you accept it.
Percolate lets you build research packages: arguments that state their question, claims and sources so a reader can check them. You can keep them private, publish them, and comment on published work. You can also use Percolate from AI assistants that can connect to it, such as Claude. Percolate may change over time.
You must be at least 13 to use Percolate. If you are under 18, a parent or guardian must agree to these Terms for you.
Keep your sign-in secure and do not let others use your account. Tell us at saoirse [at] percolationlabs.ai if you think someone has accessed it.
We may suspend or close accounts that break these Terms or are used abusively or fraudulently.
You own what you create ("Your Content"). You give us a limited licence to store and process it to provide Percolate to you and, when you publish something, to display it publicly with your name until it is withdrawn.
You are responsible for Your Content. When you import or cite someone else's work, credit its author and link to it rather than copying its text.
If you connect an AI assistant, it acts for you within the permissions you approve, and you are responsible for what you ask it to do. Its provider's own terms and privacy policy apply to your use of it. AI output can be wrong: check sources and claims before relying on them, and do not treat them as professional advice. You can disconnect an assistant at any time in your account.

Percolate is currently free. If we introduce paid plans, we will tell you the price before anything is charged, and nothing will be charged without your agreement.
Percolate's design, code and branding, and content we create (not Your Content), belong to Percolation Labs Ltd. Open-source components are covered by their own licences.
To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, including loss of data. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the greater of what you paid us in the 12 months before the claim and £100. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that the law does not allow us to limit.
Percolate is provided "as is" and "as available". We do not guarantee uninterrupted access, or that content, including AI output, is accurate. Keep your own copies of anything important.
You can stop using Percolate at any time. To close your account or have your data deleted, email saoirse [at] percolationlabs.ai. We will respond within one month, and our Privacy Policy explains what we keep. If we close your account for breaking these Terms, your right to use Percolate ends.
These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. If you live elsewhere in the UK or in the EU, you keep the protection of your local consumer laws and may bring claims in your local courts.
