Privacy Policy — Percolation Labs

    Your memories are deeply personal. This policy explains exactly what we collect, why we collect it, and — most importantly — what we will never do with it. We never sell your data. We never train our models on your personal memories.
  

1. Who we are

RemApp and Percolate (Cloud) are operated by Percolation Labs Ltd ("Percolation Labs", "we", "us", "our"). Together they form the Percolation Labs suite of services ("the Services"). We act as the data controller for personal data collected through the Services.

2. What data we collect

We collect only what is necessary to provide the service:

Account data: Your name, email address, and profile picture, obtained via Google or Apple Sign-In.
Memory content: The text, images, and voice notes you capture in RemApp or Percolate (Cloud) (your "moments").
Usage data: Timestamps, feature interactions, and crash reports to improve the app.
Device data: Device type, OS version, and app version for technical support.

We do not collect location data, contact lists, or any data beyond what you explicitly provide.

3. How we use your data

To provide, personalise, and improve the Services.
To power AI features including semantic search, pattern discovery, and conversational memory.
To send service-related notifications (no marketing without explicit consent).
To comply with legal obligations.

      We will never use your personal memories or moment content to train AI models — ours or anyone else's. Your data is used solely to power your own experience.
    

4. How we share your data

We do not sell your personal data. We share data only with:

AI infrastructure providers (e.g. Anthropic, OpenAI) to process your queries — they are bound by data processing agreements and do not retain your data for training.
Cloud providers (e.g. AWS) for secure storage and infrastructure.
Analytics tools for anonymised, aggregated usage insights.
Legal authorities when required by law.

5. Data security

Your memory content is encrypted in transit (TLS 1.3) and at rest (AES-256). We use industry-standard access controls and regularly audit our security practices. No system is 100% secure, but we take every reasonable measure to protect your data.

6. Data retention

We retain your data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, your data will be permanently deleted within 30 days. You may also delete individual moments at any time within RemApp or Percolate (Cloud).

7. Your rights (UK GDPR)

Under UK GDPR, you have the right to:

Access the personal data we hold about you.
Correct inaccurate personal data.
Request deletion of your personal data ("right to be forgotten").
Object to or restrict processing of your data.
Receive your data in a portable format.
Withdraw consent at any time.

To exercise any of these rights, email us at hello@percolationlabs.ai. We will respond within 30 days. You may also lodge a complaint with the ICO.

8. Cookies

Our Services use essential cookies for authentication and security. We do not use advertising or tracking cookies. You may disable cookies in your browser settings, though this may affect functionality.

9. Children's privacy

Our Services are not intended for users under 13 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If you believe a child has provided us with data, contact us immediately.

10. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy periodically. We will notify you of significant changes via email or in-app notification. Your continued use of the Services after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
